"Guineafowl (sometimes called "pet speckled hen", or "original fowl" or guineahen) are birds of the family Numididae in the order Galliformes. They are endemic to the continent of Africa and rank among the oldest of the gallinaceous birds. They are phylogenetically intermediate between peafowl and the Odontophoridae...
It has a flavour somewhere between chicken and pheasant; try casseroling in red wine with chestnuts."
About the Guest House
Having lived and worked in the tourism sector in West & East Africa for a number of years I have always been passionate about creating a 'soft landing' for people to explore this beautiful continent and to offer something that provides 'an African home away from home'.
We are lucky to have an incredible staff team who really are the life and soul of the Guinea Fowl. With us from the beginning and very much part of its creation I am very proud that they are part of it all.
We are very happy to share all our experience with you to make sure you have the best experience possible whether working, travelling or volunteering in Uganda.
